Examples of Cinquains and The Cinquain Game
Previously, we have covered all important aspects of theory and practice of cinquain writing. And now I present you my own cinquains. Also, in order to give you a chance to try out writing cinquans, we’ll play a small game that develops intellectual skills, using our comments to the article.
Personally I write cinquains to develop my thinking and analytical skills and use cinquains as one of the good forms of poetic art and self-expression. Cinquain is a a certain kind of pun.

Cinquain is a certain art of expressing wide range of information in a small poem that’s why it is now widely used in various modern educational programs. Further you’ll read about cinquains and education. Now I present to you my own cinquains. Try to give your best evaluation to my efforts and write even better poems.
As I was writing my cinquains following slightly different rules, I ill first post my early cinquain and later on cinquains, written in a more traditional form. You can also choose the rules according to which you will be writing cinquains.

Cinquains may also be classified not only according to the topic, but according to feelings and emotions, like joyful cinquains, angry, philosophic.
People, who like to experiment, may try to improvise and write a joyful, delicate cinquain with a wicked word, or an angry cinquain with positive and kind word. Examples of cinquains with opposite meaning…

The Cinquain Game
There also exists such a notion as “The Cinquain Game.” More often than not, it is quite boring to write cinquain alone with no logic. Sometime one may want to take part in a competition or a game. The easiest cinquain game is the cinquain chain. It may have some other name but the idea is the same.
The Cinquain Game Rules
The first person writes his own cinquain with any word. The other person writes his own cinquain woth the last word of the previous cinquain, i.e. every new ciquain is written with the last word of the preceding cinquain.
That, basically, are general rules. Everything is pretty simple that’s why I suggest you to play. I will traditionally start with my own examples of the cinquain game and you write your own cinquains in comments to this article. Later on we’ll publish all the cinquans in a special article and define the most interesting ones.
